Checklist

Student visa documents checklist

  • Passport valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay
  • Offer or confirmation from the institution: I-20 (USA), CAS (UK), letter of acceptance (Canada), CoE (Australia), admission letter (Germany, France, Ireland, New Zealand)
  • 10th, 12th and degree certificates, transcripts and backlog certificate if applicable
  • English test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo where accepted)
  • Proof of funds in the format the country requires, plus sponsor income proof
  • Statement of purpose or Genuine Student answers
  • Medical tests, tuberculosis certificate or police clearance where required
  • Health insurance where mandatory
  • APS certificate (Germany) and Campus France registration (France)

Common reasons student visas are refused

  • Funds that do not look genuine: large, sudden deposits without a clear source
  • A weak or generic study plan with no clear reason for this course, university and country
  • Unexplained gaps in education or employment
  • Inconsistent information between the SOP, application form and interview answers
  • Choosing an institution mainly for work rights rather than the course
  • Technical errors: wrong dates on bank statements, expired documents or missing translations

Most of these are avoidable with early preparation. If you have already been refused, bring us the refusal letter and we will tell you honestly whether and when to reapply.

Yes. We can review and prepare your visa file even if you secured admission without edbgo.

Start financial planning six to nine months before your intake, and apply as soon as you receive your I-20, CAS, CoE or admission letter.

Yes. Most countries accept a sanction letter from a recognised bank or NBFC. The UK and Australia have specific format rules, so check them before applying.

Read the refusal reason carefully, fix the actual weakness and reapply with stronger evidence. Reapplying with the same file usually gives the same result.

No. Only the embassy or immigration authority decides. A good consultant reduces avoidable mistakes and helps you present a genuine, complete application.
